St. Mary's/Country Hills Library
Welcome to St. Mary's High School Library
Your high school librarian is Mrs. Mulhall. Mrs. Mulhall is available for research assistance and instruction and for leisure reading suggestions.
- St. Mary's High School (SMHS) and the Country Hills branch of the Kitchener Public library (KPL) share the resources of this joint use facility.
- We offer books - fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, reference materials, DVDs, DCs, both music and books on CD, online databases and downloadable books
- We also provide printing, photocopying in both black & white and colour and access to computers
Our student hours during the school year are:
- Monday to Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- (9:30 a.m. opening on PD days and holidays.)
- The library is open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- You need a KPL CARD to borrow items, place holds or use the computers after school hours
- Replacement cards are $2.00
- Maximum of 100 items per card.
- Maximum of 4 books on a single subject
- All lost or damaged items are the responsibility of the card holder. Do Not Loan Out Your Card.
- There is an additional $5.00 processing fee for lost/damaged items.
- Check out Loan Periods and Fines.
- Renew your items online.
- Fines of $20.00 and more cancel your borrowing privileges.
- Fines of $30.00 and more are sent to a collection agency.
- The library gives two overdue notices.
- Includes good manners and respectful consideration for all users both during and after school
- SMHS students need to be in uniform, properly worn, during the school day (including spares and lunches)
- No Food or Drink.
- WCDSB Acceptable Use Policy is in effect on school library computers.
Do Not Play Computer Games or Download Anything. - Some seating and computer restrictions apply to students during the school day. The number of SMH students in the library may need to be controlled.
- A memory stick will be necessary when email from the school network is inaccessible.

and for teachers. Please find the passwords for home access to these
databases in the library section of your student handbook.
