In order to graduate from high school in Ontario every student must complete and document a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer community service.

Note that these are volunteer activities that serve your community.  Consult the WCDSB Community Involvement Manual for lists of activities that are eligible and activities that are not eligible.  For example, eligible community service activities are non-paid and out of class time, and not part of a course requirement.  Activities that are unsafe, involve routine chores or responsibilities in your home, or roles that would normally be done by a paid employee are not eligible for community service hours.
