The Kiwanis Club of Kitchener-Waterloo is offering eight $1000 bursaries to students in financial need who are making efforts to help finance their own education.
We are invited to submit two nominees from St Mary’s who are continuing their education in university, college, or another recognized institution next year.
Criteria:
- Financial need (highest priority)
- Contribution to the community and student activities
- Efforts in school, and
- Efforts to help finance own education.
Please note that a student’s marks are not the highest priority – in fact, the club is clear that they are looking to help students who are trying hard to continue to study, but who may not be achieving sufficient marks to earn academic scholarships.
Please print and fill in the application linked below and submit it in person or by email to Mrs Coates in Guidance (Valerie.coates@wcdsb.ca) to be considered for nomination. The deadline to put your name forward is April 17. Kiwanis requires our nominees to be confirmed by the end of April.
