As we prepare to return to school following the recent events that have impacted our community, we want to reach out to share the continued support that will occur as we transition back to school. We acknowledge the range of emotions that many may be experiencing following the events of last week. The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and families remain our top priority, and we continue to work diligently to ensure that our school is a safe and supportive environment for everyone. Please know that Waterloo Regional Police Services established that there is no longer a threat to our school community and believe it is safe to return. Additionally, the following resources and measures are in place to support our community:

Update – St. Mary’s HS CLOSED today – Wed., May 29th
Dear St. Mary’s Families,
Today, St. Mary’s High School will be closed as we work closely with the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) to investigate a threat of violence made against our school. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students and staff are our utmost priority.
We understand that this news may be concerning, and we want to assure you that every possible measure is being taken to ensure everyone’s safety. Our administration is cooperating fully with the WRPS, and we are taking all necessary precautions to address this situation promptly and effectively.
We will keep you informed with updates as the situation progresses. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

Relay for Life – Permission Form – Deadline – May 24
Relay for Life at St. Mary’s HS is quickly approaching. Our next step is to ensure that everyone who registered online to participate (sorry registration is now closed) has completed and submitted a Parent/Guardian Permission Form.
Click HERE to download a parent/guardian permission form, or go to room 221 (Student Success) to pick one up. Without a permission form, you will not be allowed to participate on Relay Day (May 30th).
The deadline to complete and submit forms is Friday, May 24th
Completed permission forms are to be dropped off in room 221 (Student Success).
NOTE: if you are 18+ years old, you still must complete a permission slip in order to participate – you just get to sign it yourself.
